A Very High Standard of Knowledge in Academic Subjects in a Foreign Language (As Well)
Achieved through teaching school subjects in the medium of a foreign language.
The knowledge of the language
is not the aim but it is the means of acquiring further knowledge, thus higher
standards can be achieved both in the target language and the subjects.
Foreign language teaching is there to support the subjects, not for its own sake.
Not only are the students expected to study subjects (3-7 different ones) in the
foreign language but are equally encouraged to excel within the sphere of each separate
academic discipline.
