WHERE CAN YOU GIVE THE BEST EDUCATION TO YOUR CHILD IN HUNGARY?
GIVE THEM A 'PASSPORT' TO THE BEST UNIVERSITIES IN THE WORLD
The International Baccalaureate Organisation's Diploma Programme is a demanding
pre-university course of study that leads to examinations. It is designed for
highly otivated secondary school students aged 16 to 19, giving IB diploma holders
access to the world's leading universities in more than a hundred countries.
Internationally mobile students are able to transfer from one IB school to another.
The programme is a comprehensive two-year international curriculum, available
in English at the Karinthy Frigyes Gimnázium in Budapest, Hungary. This school
was the first in Eastern Europe to introduce this prestigious IB programme and
since then (1992) the average grades of the students at Karinthy have always
been among the highest in the world.
The programme has an idealistic vision: students should share a high academic
experience that would emphasise critical thinking, intercultural understanding
and exposure to a variety of points of view.

The IB coordinators have been: Ms. Sándor, Éva and Mr. Martin, Péter and Ms. Cserép, Szilvia (currently).
Our students' results have always been amongst the very best in the world, almost every year we have had a student with maximum points (45).
All our students have continued their studies in higher education either in Hungary or abroad. We have ex-KFG students both in European and in American universities (e.g.: Sorbonne, Harvard) studying in all walks of academic life.
There has been great media interest in our school, especially since we started the IB programme. The Diplomas have been handed over by the Lord Mayor of Budapest and Ministers of Education.
